Fidget fest 2026

South Devon's sensory-aware festival series

A month of local experiences, activities and events bringing families, communities, artists, businesses and organisations together.

OCTOBER 2026

WHAT IS FIDGET FEST?

Fidget Fest is a new sensory-aware festival series taking place across South Devon this October.

Rather than one large festival, we’re bringing together a programme of smaller events, activities and experiences in local communities throughout Sensory Processing Awareness Month.

Created with neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive children and families in mind, Fidget Fest is about discovering new experiences, connecting with others and creating spaces where everyone can take part.

and inclusive

Harvesting Wellbeing at High Nature

High Nature is a 5 acre organic smallholding on a coastal plateau above the South Devon coast, just a short walk from the South West Coast Path. Since 2009, Catherine, Tobdan and their family have grown the site from a small plant nursery into a home for permaculture, organic food growing and wellbeing.

High Nature is hosting a Harvesting Wellbeing workshop with Willow: a sensory-aware outdoor session among the polytunnels and growing spaces, designed for 6 to 10 parent and child pairs.

Neuro-Gymnastics with Valentyna Iliana

Valentyna Iliana is a dyslexia specialist bringing a Neuro-gymnastics workshop to Fidget Fest this October half term. Through movement-based activities and exercises, the session supports children with dyslexia in a practical, engaging way, working with how dyslexic brains process reading, writing and focus rather than against it.

The session runs as a presentation followed by a hands-on workshop, delivered in person.

Sensory Processing Differences with Helen-Jane Ridgeway

Helen-Jane Ridgeway is a somatic and trauma therapist running a workshop on Working with Sensory Processing Differences at Fidget Fest. Bringing a body-based, trauma-informed lens, the session gives professionals and parents practical tools to understand and support children who experience sensory input differently.

Open to both professionals and parents.
