We’re Evolving: Expanding Access to Sensory Support Across Devon

The Fidget Project CIC has now been running for over a year, and like many community-led organisations, we have had to adapt and evolve based on what families actually need.

Why We Are Changing Our Approach

One of our biggest challenges has been accessibility. Many families struggle to attend in-person sessions due to time, travel, financial pressures, or caring responsibilities.

Because of this, we are expanding how we deliver support.

A Hybrid Support Model

We are developing a blended approach that includes:

  • In-person community sessions across local hubs
  • School-based support and training
  • Online webinars and expert Q&A sessions
  • A future membership-based support platform
  • A directory of trusted neurodiversity-informed professionals

Expanding Access to Specialist Support

We are also working with a growing network of sensory-trained therapists who can provide:

  • 1:1 support sessions
  • Parent guidance and coaching
  • Group workshops
  • Practical sensory integration strategies

Alongside this, our lending library of sensory tools and resources continues to grow.

Our Goal

We want to ensure that families are not limited by geography, income, or waiting lists when seeking support.

Support should be available when it is needed, not months or years later.
